Neon Guardian ("the App") is designed with your privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, transmit, or share your personal data. All sensor readings, scan results, and detection data are processed exclusively on your device and are never sent to our servers or any third party.
• Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number) • Device identifiers (IMEI, advertising ID) • Location coordinates or GPS history • Camera images, videos, or recordings • Magnetometer or sensor raw data • Scan history or detection results • Usage analytics or crash reports (beyond what the OS platform stores) • Any information about devices discovered on your network
CAMERA — Used solely in real-time by the Infrared Detector to analyse live frames on-device for lens reflections. No images or video are captured, stored, or transmitted. LOCATION (coarse) — Required by Android and iOS to scan the local Wi-Fi network for connected devices. Your GPS coordinates are never accessed or stored. BLUETOOTH — Used to scan for nearby Bluetooth/BLE devices that may indicate hidden wireless cameras. Scan results remain on-device. MICROPHONE — Not requested or used. NOTIFICATIONS — Optional; used solely to alert you about detections triggered while the App is running.
Every detection algorithm — magnetic baseline calibration, infrared ML inference, Bluetooth scanning, and network device discovery — runs entirely on your device. No data leaves your phone. The App functions fully offline; an internet connection is never required for scanning.
When you download or purchase the App, Apple App Store and Google Play Store may collect standard analytics (download counts, crash reports, device type) under their own privacy policies. This data is aggregated, anonymous, and controlled by Apple / Google — not by us. Please review their privacy policies for details.
The App stores only your in-app settings (sensitivity level, notification preferences, auto-scan toggles) using your device's local storage (SharedPreferences). This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App.
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us so we can address the situation.
The App uses only open-source Flutter packages for sensor access, UI rendering, and audio playback. None of these packages include advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, or data collection libraries.
If we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the Effective Date at the top of this page and notify users through an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
